Vestkin, LLC ("Vestkin," "we," "us," or "our") operates a payroll software platform accessible at app.vestkin.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you use our services.

• Business information: company name, EIN, address, phone, email
• Personal information: employee names, addresses, dates of birth, Social Security Numbers (SSN), phone numbers, email addresses
• Financial information: bank account numbers, routing numbers, payroll amounts
• Usage data: login timestamps, IP addresses, browser type

2.How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

• Process payroll and direct deposit payments
• Calculate and withhold federal and state taxes
• Generate W-2s, 1099s, and 941 filings
• Provide the employee self-service portal
• Communicate about your account and service updates

3.How We Protect Your Information

• Social Security Numbers and bank account numbers are encrypted at rest using Supabase Vault and never stored in plaintext
• Only the last 4 digits of SSNs and account numbers are displayed in the application
• All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS encryption
• Access is controlled by role-based permissions and Row Level Security (RLS)
• We do not sell your personal information to third parties

4.Data Sharing

We share data only with:

• Payment processors (Stripe) for ACH and direct deposit processing
• Tax filing services (TaxBandits) for 941, W-2, and related filings
• Cloud infrastructure providers (Supabase, Replit) under data processing agreements

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information.

5.Data Retention

We retain payroll records for 7 years in compliance with IRS requirements. You may request deletion of non-payroll data by contacting us at info@vestkin.com.

6.Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data. Contact us at info@vestkin.com. California residents may have additional rights under CCPA.

7.Cookies

We use session cookies for authentication only. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

8.Children's Privacy

Our platform may process payroll data for minor employees (under 18) employed by their parents. This data is provided by the employing parent/guardian and is used solely for payroll processing purposes.
